Slot Car Racing and Civilisation (i.e. THE RULES)

Slot Car Racing is for everyone 🙂

Established in 2024, W.A.R. Slot Car Raceway is a social club of slot car hobby and motorsport enthusiasts. Mike & James aim to treat all honest and decent folk like family.

The Raceway sells slot cars and accessories, provides slot car racing tracks for temporary hire, and other amenities.

W.A.R. Slot Car Raceway is the BIGGEST commercial slot car raceway in South Australia and the ONLY specialist in competitive slot car racing.

THE RULES

For the long-term sustainability of the Raceway, and the benefit and safety of our honest patrons, the Rules must be explicitly stated.

By entering into the Raceway, you agree to abide by the Raceway's Rules.

By being an inhabitant of this large island continent, you are subject to South Australian and Federal Law. Yes, unfortunately some people need to be reminded of this 😆

Raceway Rules

  • The #1 priority is ALWAYS to HAVE FUN!
  • Treat each other and their property with respect.
  • If you break or damage something, you are liable to pay for it.
  • The Raceway is not a children's daycare centre. Your children are totally your concern and you must maintain appropriate control over their behaviour AT ALL TIMES. You are liable for their behaviour.
  • No alcohol.
  • No food or drinks on or near the tracks.

Slot Car Racing-Specific Rules

  • Casual walk-in racers
    • The $15 cost includes hiring a car and controller.
    • This DOES NOT include swapping the hire car(s) unless it is not working sufficiently.
    • As these cars are frequently used by casual racers, the best experience will always be with your own cars 🙂
  • DO NOT lean on the tracks.
  • Silicon tyres cannot be used on any tracks.
  • Foam tyre cars are to be used on the Webber track ONLY.
  • Cars are not allowed to be used on any other track if they have been used on the Webber track.
  • More to come...

Stating the Necessary Legalities

  • Breaking the rules of the Raceway: 1st offence: formal warning. 2nd offence: lifetime ban.
  • Breaking South Australian or Federal Law: The Raceway is covered 24/7 by CCTV. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for criminal, similarly suspicious or aggressive behaviour. Such activity will be swiftly reported to SAPOL.
