The BRM S-033SE is BRM's high-power T-RS Super EVO long-can racing motor, delivering 25,000 RPM at 12V and 500 g·cm of torque at 12V. It combines high torque with strong magnetic force and powerful magnetic braking, making it a serious performance motor for competitive slot car applications.

Although the S-033SE is commonly specified in BRM's (1/24) cars, the motor itself is not restricted to (1/24) scale. Its standard long-can FK-180 / Boxer format can also be used in compatible (1/32) slot cars where the motor pod is designed to accept this size and configuration.

Important: compatibility is determined by the motor pod rather than scale alone. The S-033SE is a long-can motor measuring approximately 32 × 20.5 × 15.5mm, so it will not fit chassis designed exclusively around a short-can motor.

Specifications & Components

1/24 & 1/32 Compatibility

The S-033SE should not be considered a (1/24)-only motor. Its FK-180 long-can format can also be used in compatible (1/32) applications.

For a (1/32) car, the important consideration is the motor pod and available space. If the chassis is designed to accept a long-can FK-180 / Boxer motor of approximately 32 × 20.5 × 15.5mm, the S-033SE can be used regardless of the nominal scale of the car.

It is not a universal replacement for short-can motors. A chassis designed exclusively around an FC-130 / short-can motor will require a suitable long-can-compatible motor pod or modification before the S-033SE can be installed.

Performance

With 25,000 RPM and 500 g·cm of torque at 12V, the S-033SE provides substantially more torque than BRM's standard S-033S T-RS EVO, which is rated at 325 g·cm. The Super EVO also provides high magnetic force and strong magnetic braking.

This makes the S-033SE particularly suited to racers looking for strong acceleration, braking and drive from a long-can motor, provided the chassis and motor pod are appropriate for its physical dimensions and performance characteristics.
