BRM S-033S T-RS EVO Long-Can Motor 25,000 RPM 325g·cm – 1/24 & 1/32

The BRM S-033S is BRM's T-RS EVO long-can racing motor, delivering 25,000 RPM at 12V and 325 g·cm of torque at 12V. It is a proven high-performance motor used extensively in BRM racing applications, with strong torque and a long-can FK-180 / Boxer configuration.

Although the S-033S is most commonly associated with BRM's (1/24) slot cars, the motor itself is not restricted to (1/24) scale. Its long-can format can also be used in compatible (1/32) slot cars where the motor pod is designed to accept this size and configuration.

Important: compatibility is determined by the motor pod rather than scale alone. The S-033S is a long-can motor, so it is not a direct replacement for chassis designed exclusively around a short-can motor.

1/24 & 1/32 Compatibility

The S-033S should not be considered a (1/24)-only motor. Its FK-180 long-can format can also be used in compatible (1/32) applications.

For a (1/32) car, the important consideration is the motor pod and available space. If the chassis is designed to accept a long-can FK-180 / Boxer motor of the S-033S's dimensions, the motor can be used regardless of the nominal scale of the car.

It is not a universal replacement for short-can motors. A chassis designed exclusively around an FC-130 / short-can motor will require a suitable long-can-compatible motor pod or modification before the S-033S can be installed.

Performance

With 25,000 RPM and 325 g·cm of torque at 12V, the S-033S offers a strong combination of speed and torque for competitive slot car racing. It is the standard T-RS EVO motor specified in numerous BRM racing cars and is also used in both inline and anglewinder configurations depending on the chassis.

The S-033S is the standard T-RS EVO specification, while the more powerful S-033SE Super EVO produces 500 g·cm of torque and is designed for applications where substantially greater torque and braking are desired.

Gearing & Pinion

The motor uses a 2mm shaft, allowing it to accept compatible 2mm-shaft pinions. The pinion is not included with the S-033S and should be selected according to the chassis, motor configuration and desired gear ratio.

For example, BRM's 1/24 Ferrari 412P BRM203 uses the S-033S with an S-075 11T brass anglewinder pinion and S-066S 41T spur gear, giving an 11:41 ratio. This is an example of a specific chassis setup, not a universal gearing requirement for the S-033S.

What's Included?

  • 1 × BRM S-033S T-RS EVO 25,000 RPM long-can motor
  • BRM racing lead wires

Pinion not included. Select the appropriate pinion separately according to the chassis configuration and desired gearing.
