This 1/32 scale Scalextric model replicates the #5 Ford XY Falcon GT-HO Phase III, entered by Queensland Ford dealer Bryan Byrt and driven by John French to a hard-fought 2nd place at the rain-affected 1972 Hardie-Ferodo 500 at Bathurst. French overcame a flat tyre and brake trouble along the way, finishing a lap behind race winner Peter Brock in a drive regarded as one of the finest of his career. Limited to just 1,500 pieces worldwide, this is a genuine piece of Australian touring car history for the collection.
