The Lotus Esprit in The Spy Who Loved Me
The Lotus Esprit S1 became one of the most famous film cars of all time after appearing alongside Roger Moore's James Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me.
During the film's extended chase through Sardinia, Bond uses the Esprit to escape a motorcycle equipped with a missile sidecar, Jaws in a Ford Cortina and ultimately a pursuing helicopter. When Bond drives the Lotus off a jetty and into the sea, the car transforms into the famous Wet Nellie submarine.
