Schumacher won six of the first seven races following Ayrton Senna's death at Imola, before disqualifications at the British and Belgian Grands Prix let Damon Hill close the gap to just one point heading into the season-ending Australian Grand Prix at Adelaide. There, after Schumacher clipped a wall and damaged his suspension, the two title rivals collided as Hill went for the inside line - both retiring on the spot and handing Schumacher his maiden World Championship in one of the sport's most debated finishes. The B194 proved a hugely competitive package throughout, powered by a Ford Zetec-R V8 producing over 730hp.
