Scaleauto SC-7144 Mercedes-Benz W154 1938 GP Classic 1/24 White Kit
Build one of the most significant Grand Prix racing cars of the pre-war era with the Scaleauto SC-7144 Mercedes-Benz W154 1938. Part of Scaleauto's GP Classic 1/24 range, this highly detailed 1/24 scale Mercedes-Benz W154 white kit combines a resin body with a competition-oriented Scaleauto chassis and running gear.
The Mercedes-Benz W154 was one of the dominant Grand Prix cars of the 1938 season. Developed by Daimler-Benz for the new 3.0-litre supercharged Grand Prix regulations, the W154 featured a front-mounted V12 engine and became one of the defining Silver Arrow racing cars of the late 1930s.
Please note: the SC-7144 is supplied as a white kit for assembly and painting. Paint, glue and finishing materials are not included. The body is supplied unpainted, making this an ideal project for experienced slot-car builders, collectors and racers who want to finish their Mercedes W154 to their own specification.
Mercedes-Benz W154 – 1938 Grand Prix Racing
The Mercedes-Benz W154 was introduced for the 1938 Grand Prix season following the change to the 3.0-litre engine regulations. Its supercharged V12 engine and advanced chassis design made it one of the fastest racing cars of its era.
The W154 achieved major Grand Prix victories during 1938, including wins in Germany, Switzerland and France. The real car was operated by the Daimler-Benz AG works racing team and formed part of the famous Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrows programme.
Scaleauto GP Classic 1/24
The SC-7144 forms part of Scaleauto's dedicated GP Classic 1/24 range, alongside historic Grand Prix machines from Mercedes-Benz, Auto Union, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Talbot.
Unlike a conventional ready-to-run slot car, the GP Classic range is designed around model building and competition preparation. The SC-7144 combines a resin body with Scaleauto GP Classic chassis components, allowing the finished car to be assembled, painted and prepared according to the builder's preferences.
