The Escort Cosworth at the 1997 Acropolis Rally

The 1997 Acropolis Rally was a significant event in the history of the Ford Escort in the World Rally Championship. Carlos Sainz took victory in the #5 Escort Cosworth WRC, with Luis Moya alongside him on what became the Escort's penultimate WRC victory.

Digital Conversion

The C4426 is supplied as an analogue slot car but is DPR ready. A Scalextric C8515 digital plug can be installed to convert the car for compatible Scalextric digital systems.

The car is also compatible with ARC AIR and ARC ONE systems in analogue configuration. For Scalextric ARC PRO/Digital operation, a compatible digital chip is required.

Magnatraction & Four-Wheel Drive

The combination of four-wheel drive and Magnatraction gives the C4426 a strong traction-focused specification straight from the box. The four-wheel-drive system is particularly appropriate for a WRC car, where maintaining traction while accelerating out of tight corners is fundamental to the character of the real machine.
