Peter Brock's 1989 Bathurst Sierra
The C4505 represents the #5 Mobil 1 Racing Ford Sierra RS500 driven by Australian motorsport legend Peter Brock and British touring-car star Andy Rouse at the 1989 Bathurst 1000.
Brock famously switched from Holden to Ford Sierra RS500 machinery for the 1989 season. The #5 Sierra qualified on pole position for the Bathurst 1000, giving Brock his first Bathurst pole in a non-V8 Commodore. Unfortunately, the race ended in retirement after 81 laps following a rear-wheel-related mechanical failure.
The result makes this an especially interesting piece of Brock history: the C4505 represents the Sierra that started the 1989 Bathurst 1000 from pole, rather than a Bathurst-winning car.
Analogue & Digital Compatibility
The C4505 is supplied as an analogue slot car and is ready to race on compatible Scalextric analogue track. It is also Digital Plug Ready (DPR) and uses the C8515 digital plug format.
A compatible Scalextric digital decoder is required for digital operation and is not included.
