Recreate one of the iconic ground-effect Formula 1 cars of the late 1970s with the Scalextric C4423 Lotus 79, depicting Mario Andretti's No.1 Lotus at the 1979 USA Grand Prix West in Long Beach.
The Lotus 79 was one of Formula 1's most influential ground-effect designs. After dominating the 1978 season, Lotus entered 1979 with the distinctive green Martini Racing livery, supplemented by Tissot sponsorship. At Long Beach, Andretti drove the No.1 Lotus 79 to a 4th-place finish.
This 1:32 scale Scalextric model features high-detail bodywork, Scalextric Magnatraction, an inline rear-wheel-drive configuration and easy-change pick-ups. It is supplied as an analogue car and can be converted to Scalextric Digital using the C7005 digital plug.

Mario Andretti finished 4th at the 1979 USA Grand Prix West in the No.1 Lotus 79. The Long Beach race marked another season in which the Lotus 79 remained highly competitive but was no longer the dominant force it had been during its championship-winning 1978 campaign.
